Glad to find you guys, my SR500 is on the way. Brother picked it up for me in Pa, should be here by the weekend. Will post picks when I learn how! Its Black with a white brothers extractor, and micuni(sp) carb, will holler when it fires. Any hints on startin it? It was running about 2 yrs ago, I plan to run it just about every day sun or sun.

Welcome to the forum...starting is a learned art, but once learned never forgotten. ...onto compression, de-comp in, ease the kickstart over a short way, let it return to the top...release the de-comp, no throttle, kick it firmly all the way through to the bottom...when cold use the enrichment lever...when hot don't... You'll be fine. SR  |

Thanks, man, got it home tonight, checked the plug, put new gas in and Ka-bam it started. Was hairy riding with no brakes, but was alotta fun, cant wait to get the brakes going---then lights and stuff. Its a real hoot to ride. My wife thinks its too loud, so it must be about just right. Will be looking for a tail light lense-mine was broken on the way home.

My son picked up a tail-light assembly on e-bay, should be here soon. Its starting alot better since a new plug and the air filter service. Sounds wicked cool!
