Hi All
Just thought Id tell you what a great weekend I had on my SR . My mate and I took our SRs to the Three T's rally T T T . It was a ride of about 300km to the rally (near Taralga NSW) the last 40km on dirt road and the last 20 or so you would think twice about taking your 4WD on. Everything went well after a shaky start, my mate Michael has been on every T T T rally (this year was the 20th) so he had to make it. He has had a little trouble with his bike and has just had the engine rebuilt. We started the ride at about 10am Friday , about 5Km from home Michaels magnetic tank bag flew off (he has used it for about 10 years and this is the first problem he has had). Then about 20Km further on his bike started loosing power and slowing down , we pull up and his back brake was on ( his footrest rubber was coming off and working the back brake peddle). 1km further down the road and he disappears in a cloud of smoke! You really need to tighten that oil bleeder screw don't you. Well after a start like that the rest of the weekend was just about perfect! The bikes both started on the first or second kick and didn't miss a beat and they handled the dirt amazingly well . On the trip back we also got great mileage the last leg saw us getting over 80mpg! and it wasn't because we were going slow Goulburn to Mourya 180Km took just about 2 hours and there is some slow downhill work . Anyway the rally was great maybe next year we might get some more SRs going
Cheers
Mark
