Hi everyone, Been lurking on this forum awhile now and would like to say this is a great site and I learn alot about the SR from you guys. I sold my bike couple months ago(02 Honda Hornet 250, import from Japan) and been looking for either a Kawasaki W650, SR500 or TW200 and turn it into street tracker. Luckily I find a local bike collector that are selling the W and SR at the same time. After riding both bike I decided to get the SR. It's a 2000 model that he bought from Japan, took it apart and ship to the US and put it back together. It has been siting in his garage with couple hundred miles and look brand new. Long story short, I bought the bike and have been a very happy SR owner. Finally have a freind took some pics of the bike for me.

Really nice...looks like a desert racer or flatracker from the sixties.

From one newbie to another, welcome aboard.
Bike looks great and you have great weather ( most of the time) to ride in Southern California.
I come over to Orange county in Feb every year for a few weeks. Love to catch up next year and see the bike in the flesh.
