Don't understand... are you talking about the rocker pivots themselves or just the plugs?

Well there's nothing special about them (no inner locks or so), it's just two big threads tightened in aluminium. If the rockerbox is already removed, you might better clamp it on your workbench before you try to open, also some heat may be helpful, but isn't necessary (normally).
Regards Sven
P.S.: if you got em out, the rocker-pivots have an internal M6 thread, so you can tear them out with a longer M6 stud.

Thanks Sven i just wanted to cheak ther wasnt some thing i was missing, problem is the heads are a bit small, more like 16.5mm so i cant get a spanner that fits, ther staring to round the corners off, im going to try putting it in my lathes 3jaw chuck, if that fails i might have to resort to welding a breaker bar onto the head.

If it all fails, you can bore & sink(?) the heads off, these bolts are hollow (approx. d8mm), the rest of the thread must come out easy, cause it's all in the engine's oil.

What are you talking about, those plugs on the side where the oil lines connect?

Yes thats right , ther just covers for the pivots the rockers turn on. Ive finaly undone both of mine , but oh man they were tight!
ive drilled and tapped the exhaust one for an oil line as my 77 bike has never had the mod, though the exhaust rocker is in good conditon, so i geuss ither its been relpaced or this bike has had an easy life.
