i had been looking for a Sr but ther hard to find in the uk, right now ive got the engine in bits hopefully going to fix its smokeing habbit with some ne valve oil seals, fingers crossed. Though for something to do whilst the bits arrive ive been powder coateing and bit of the engine i can fit in my oven.
project wise im still undecided between a cafe racer of a Bratstyle chop, or maybee a very shiny xt with trick bits, ill keep you posted.

Hi there I have a SR500 engine within an XT D frame. Cafe racer style. www.flickr.com/photos/26325345@N07/XT frame is good for the taller rider esp as a commuter. I have seen some great XT restorations though. Chrome tank look is great. I have some XT documentation on the above link. all the best with your mission. cheers |
