Wise men of the SR forum, I am seeking the following measurements as precisely as possible for the as manufactured 1979 SR500.
Steering angle. (27.6 degrees?)
Fork offset. (45mm?)
Trail. (I haven't tried to measure it yet)
Your input is most appreciated.

I made the rake angle 28 degrees, I don't think the Japanese would bothered with incriments of degrees. I'd go with 45mm on the off set. Trial depends on the wheel dia that you are using (as well as rake angle and off set). The most accurate way to determine this is to use the rolling radius of the front wheel and tyre combination you have fitted. The last SR frame I made I did it with a 30 degree rake, if I was to build another rigid frame I'd go to 32. Rake and trail caluclator: www.tonyfoale.com/under the 'freeware tab'
