Nice Machine,
Where did you find it?
I wouldn't mind fiding out what some of the plumbing around the motor does/connects to.
Cheers, MikeC.

Hi, Yes a very nice machine for sure! Especially when you discover that it has a 'standard frame' under all that modification...well what's left of it anyway...when I first saw this a fair while back on your site I was gob smacked... Still looks great! SR

There isn't a lot wrong with the stock frame. That large dia top tube gives it he ability to resist flexing in the way a bike frame needs to. Its just that the whole thing is a bit heavy.
Bloody nice bike though

Don't be so hard on yourself Carl!
KTM is bringing out the single based sport bike, Cagiva always talk about, maybe yamaha will follow suit. Would be great to see. maybe even the Italians could get invloved, a new ducati, mv, morini single!
I'l have one with an xt660 engine please Yamaha, rather than the more likely WR450.

...the rest is normal and you would find it wouldn't be over 90mm in the bore and not as wild as it looks, the big muffler is useless, ... I don't like it either...

Hey caferacercarl I'm building an exhaust for my roadster. I want it to wrap round the engine like the XT, but on the other side. Can you give me some tips on pipe dia/lengths/silencer dia for a road bike with a mild cam. I was thinking 1 3/4" for the header, The XS650 like a pipe 22" long so I figured that would be a good reference to start with. Sorry to hijack the thread I still like the bike, granted its a little OTT for my tastes, but as a bike builder I know just how much effort has been expended to gain that level of detailing. OK some it could have been better used but even so its a corker! Makes my efforts look like I've spent all day scratching round in the dirt.

Doing all that around an SR/XT/TT engine IS overkill. Still, nice to look at though.
