I'm new to this forum so please forgive me if this has been recently asked, but here goes:
I'm relativly new to SR 500 ownership but I have been doing quite a bit of web-surfing trying to research parts availabilty, etc, for my trusty bike. After Googling "Yamaha SR 500" on the web I have noticed European versions of the SR 500 that seem to have production dates into the mid-late 1990's. Is this my imagination or did Yamaha continue production of this bike into the 1990's for the European market?
A quick history lesson please.

Yes that's right...not a bad run is it. They still produce the 400 which has always been made alongside. SR

Unbelievable! Thank for the info. No wonder getting hard parts for my 30 year old bike from Yamaha is so easy.
