Hello All. Every since the old Thumper Page forum folded (it reverted back to the old style forum due to continued hacking) I have been searching for another to go to. I ended up creating my own at Yahoo Groups autos.groups.yahoo.com/group/YamahaSR500CafeRacers/ and have over 130+ members there. But in the endless quest for more info on SR's, I came across this one. Looks like this place has more activity than my Yahoo group but, that's a good thing. At just a quick glance, I have seen a couple familiar names (StewRoss, Trouthunter).
I have been riding bikes since 1978. Had a bit of a hiatus during the '90's with SCCA race cars and have come back to bikes in the last 4-5 years. I have 3 bikes at the moment. A heavily modded '78 SR500, a 1981 Suzuki GN400 WERA vintage racer, and a 1986 Yamaha FZ600 in process of restoration.
Just thought I'd join up here to share in the wealth (of knowledge) that comes in a open forum and in the spirit of the internet's original intention.
