hey she looks way neeter and cleener than my project...and about a thousand miles ahead of what i started with......as for puting a an outer shel over the iner tank...thats a great idea..and should be a chalenge but not imposable...

Hanks Engineering...in QLD... www.hertmotorcycles.com/product.htmI bought an engine stand from him for about $35 or so a while back. Basic item, but that's all you require. He'll post it to you. That Kedo one is quite simple as well...some angle, two bits of square tube and no welding... SR

As far as resurfacing goes if the surfaces are in good condition ie. not warped (check with straight edge) no deep gouges etc then i would leave them alone.
If you start removing material from the head or barrel you are going to raise the comp. ratio and may cause the valves to contact the piston .
If you are worried about mixing different engine components from several motors then dont as its all machined the same way.

Nearly twelve months later, Had a son, changed jobs twice, bought a rover for the missus. However i've found time to take the engine out and other bits and pieces. I did say long term project didn't i? Maybe i'll change the head over sometime next year lol!! I miss riding this girl though. Time to step it up a gear?
