Yeah thats my NC30 (VFR400) Racer. I had a big off at the last race meeting hence the gelcoat fairings. I need to pull my finger out and get them done as the next track day is on the 8th Feb. 1st race is in March.
Im seriously thinking about selling the GSXR1000. I need to fund my racing somehow. Something tells me I will miss it if I do...
The Guzzi in there is a V50 MKIII. It belongs to a lady from work. Im hoping my dad buys it from her as he wants to go post classic racing. Then I dont have to finish building it! Its been in my shed for 3 years and it is only just at the rolling stage. It was a bad basket case. Everything that could have been pulled apart was and it festered in a shed that used to flood often. It would make a nice racebike.

That 78 is a credit to its previous owner for sure (if its not too nosey what kind of dollars did you pay for it ?) & what amount of Ks are on it ? I'm hoping my 78 is going to look like that soon but spray & chrome is needed first ! I think I will lose the 500 single stickers though & substitute for just a plain gold smallish 500 as I think that anyone can see its a single ! (what were they thinking ?)I too unloaded my larger machines as I find the 500 has the fun factor (some of my mates just dont get it & think I'm nuts I'm sure .) There is a few other guys on the forum done the same (except Col he's still got nearly every bike he owned ha ha ) So its catchy ,cheers Dave.

Gday Dave, Its in such nice condition I felt guilty when I took the original (yes they were the original) bars and grips off it to put the ace bars on it.
It used to belong to my dads mate and he traded it in at my local bike shop. I told my wife how id love to own it and she secretly went and bought it. They did a bit of work to it, they replaced the fork seals, put new TT100's on it, and did a few other minor things to it. So with that work and 6 months single seat rego she paid $2300 bucks (AUD). Bargain!
Its got 60,000 kays on it. I think its still on its original rings as it blows a little bit of smoke. At least a single is easy to freshen up the top end on. Also came with a TT500 workshop manual, the SR500 parts book, the original Two Wheels issue with the bike test as well as the AMCN issue with their test as well. So all in all im a pretty happy chappy!
Dave, did you just pick up that one on ebay recently? Id love to build a custom cafe racer based on an SR500 or a 500 Guzzi but I am certainly not doing much to take away from this ones originality. This one is just too good to custom.. Although I do love modern brakes so I am thinking of doing a 320mm disc and big caliper and master cylinder. I dont trust the idiot car drivers where I live at all..... I want to be able to actually stop if one pulls out in front of me.
Cheers

An absolute bargain Chris (maybe I'm dreaming as I'm very apprehensively selling a 82 but I'd like 2.5k for it as I know what parts are worth , buts its nowhere as good as your score) I think yours was a luck for a 78(soon to be vintage motorcycle) My 78 was just a bit of luck being in the right place as I was buying a 80 with extra parts of a guy (2.5k) & he had a mate that was keen to unload his 78(unreg, dented tank , non genuine bars etc) so I grabbed em both for 4grand . Now I've got projects coming out of my ears & I've still got a complete 78 to cafe on the shelves in my shed . I'm just waiting for my new tank to be sprayed up but no rush as it runs great & I can still get it registered as is ! The 80 & 82 are both registered(have a look in Dave's bikes in this section, at my stable) I still haven't worked out how to ride 2 at once(it happens when my old boy visits though) He cut his teeth on AJS, Matchees,Nortons,BSAs &Franies he even had a Velocette so we always go for a ride when able(by the way he's a pom & I was born there too so its a blood thing I recon ,cheers Dave & have a good Chrissy all.
