Nice bike. It looks brand new. If you take care of it, it should last forever, be a great ride and be worth more every year because there aren't many SR500s like that around. I'm new here myself, have been reading this forum only a couple of months and been a member a few weeks, so it's not my place to welcome you, but welcome. I haven't seen any posts by Belges except yours so far. Lots of good people and valuable information here, and even the Australians seem to be well-behaved and often courteous.

yeah ist not really an old SR, it is one from the later SR's. It is build in 1993 but already has 50000km (about 32000 miles) but is still runs great

the blocks of wood are waste from a cabinet workplace where they make wooden windows and doors. it is tropical timber and I use it for the heating of our house in the winter.
about my SR, it still has stock air filter but is a K&N a good improvement i mean, can you actually FEEL the difference when you replace the stock filter by a more 'open' filter (like the K&N's)?

Smoris, Changing to a K&N airfilter is supposed to add about 2-3 brake horsepower. Thats what I did to my first SR, and I'm sorry to say, NO - I couldn't FEEL much if any, change. But I knew the engine was breathing better.

The Michelins really give it an elegant touch — make it look 50 kilograms lighter.
I'm guessing the smaller rear tire is going to change the gearing about like going with a smaller front drive sprocket. Lots of zip.
It looks like the bike keeps getting newer instead of older.

Lolz, it doesn't have new tires, they are the same like in the first pictures, but i painted the 'Michelin' in white with a TIP-EX marker but indeed, it now has a little more 'sporty' look

since I have made some mods on my bike, I hereby post some new pics for you guys as you can see i mounted a "M" handle bar, it's a bit lower and more to the front than the stock also removed the sidecovers and bolted on a K&N airfilter and some more weight has been removed ;D
