Looks a bit like a Gold Star there as well...and a poor old Honda 350 four! He looks as though he was a Douglas fan too...interesting lot of bikes in a way. SR

Yeah I love the Douglas with the bacon slicer.
It's a shame that the current owner isn't interested. . . It's funny though. You'd think that even if he had no passion for the bikes, he'd at least have the business sense to understand their monetary value and look after them accordingly.
The vibe of the place was a bit weird actually. On one hand a guy (that I assume was staff) came and spoke to us and was enthusiastic and was keen to chat. One the other hand, the current owner and some others (that were either staff or family, or both) just gave off this sort of "Hmm, they come here to see the museum, but they're not buying anything" vibe.
Ironically I was planning of buying some wine to give as gifts, but they turned me right off.
Having said all that; if you're in the area, definately check it out. It's a good collection for its size.

Is that an upright single BMW alongside the Honda? Shaft drive I suppose? They really don't know what they've got do they? Love to have one of the velocettes. Shame the relatives don't care. My kids, on the other hand, reckon I have to buy at least one more bike so they can inherit one each. Three sons and only two bikes. Need one more to make it fair, apparently. Fortunately I have three shotguns and three rifles, so the guns divide by three OK. Mick
