Love it , I'm pumped its a beautiful day today & I'm gunna roll my baby out of the shed . Well somebodys got to do it ? I'm so glad I don't have to ever wait for the snow to melt ! Cheers Dave .

yep, that's an "F" model, though until I checked I didn't realize that every 1979 Yamaha cycle sold had an "F" designation! The original paperwork from the dealership lists it as an SR500F-R, but I have no idea what, if anything, that connotes. scott

Hi, No not sure either...red?...heh, heh. The models into here (...and the US I believe) were: '78 - E; '79 - F, '80 - G and '81 - H. Now of course there are SR400's coming in new again and there are a fair few 500's and 400's coming in grey import...excellent. SR
