Thanks ! I love it , had a few problems with the Iti electrical system (they must think in reverse to anybody else I recon) but all is sweet now . It's really just an aircooled 650 twin like the XS650 but fuel injected & some oil coolers under the fairing & it handles like a dream . Thats why I did the SR up to stock as I didn't need to do a racer . I'm not sure how many 668s were built but from the feedback it'll be collectable if I can keep it going & in good nick. 97 was the last Laverda's built but they may appear again (I wont hold my breath) cheers Dave .

The red one looks nice and tidy Dave. You must nearly own every SR 500 in the district. The wheel barrow choppers the coolest though, might have started a new design trend with that one..... Keep up the good work.

Thats a great family right there
I actually like the look of teh Western bars on the '78 in those shots, I usually don't go much on them

Those bars were on it when I got it & their not my thing either ! I've got to change the clocks & the front master as they are off a Honda ? The tank is dented but the rest is sweet & the engine has nearly been polished so there should be some time saved there ( lots to do regardless) cheers Dave.

Just thought I'd do a couple of updated pics of my stable. The black 78 is the one that I've been restoring whilst I've been building the yellow one . the last pic is what it looked like when I purchased it ! I'm going to have a crack at getting it regoed soon but I want to see if we can get vintage registration in WA under SR Aust club membership ! The yellow one is my go at building a style of bike I grew up with in the late 70s -80s , its a total SR500 but its got a kwaka 9 -Z 1000 look to it with the ducktale bikini fairing Its also in my Eagles AFL colours(don't really know why I did that as I recon I put the mokker on them) Its not going that well yet as I'm still mucking around with the jets/mufflers & I'm keen to get that registered soon so I can sort that out .That is a 78 too but its not a matcher yet (I've got the matching frame but that is next years project). The last pic is the steeds in the corale(the Dunsborough SR Club AGM) not a bad turnout as every SR(running) turned up! Its all tounge in cheek so feel free to comment or bag me as I'm sure I've done it to some of you guys ?Cheers Dave.

That Dunsborough club meeting has more running SR's than have been sighted at the Sydney rides collectively (i think we;ve had one 500, and two 400's).....but in our defence we need them to be road registered If The West Coast Eagles bike is like the team it might need some "additives" for peak performance

I've actually been too ashamed to show it ! That is why I haven't registered it yet (I'm waiting for a win to ride it up the street).I'm also getting an upsweeping type pipe bent up to give it a different look too ,then I can get the jetting sorted(every time you put on something different its back to the drawing board) The engine is actually set up for a straight through muffler now so it won't get much more than 100ks & it blew the baffles out when I tried to make it go over(it ran beautifully when they popped out & I got it to 140ks which I was happy with ! Cheers Dave.
