Gman, yes wood was ezer to work w/ than 1/2"plate alum that i have to make the final mounting plates, combo of a R1 shifter, harley shift rod and reworked stock shifter. brake side was simpler,a plate to move the peg back and a shortened blake lever athou i amost made it to short, limiting kicker throw. the wheel is off a xs650.bolt on swap. rim and hub powdercoated w/ polished stainless spokes.rotor was drilled w/a modifed patern taken from the xs650 site.took a while but not as bad as i thought it would be, good drill bit, slow speed, cutting fluid. the same bit was cutting nearly as good on the last hole as the first. i'm very happy w/ the progress Bob

Hi, A little trick with a short rear brake lever...if you remove the return spring behind the pedal it makes the brake more sensitive and it should work a lot better. Can make it a little more touchy when you first use it though, until you're used to it...try it! SR

to anyone interested, there are a couple of pics of my finished rearsets in the 650 photo area, came out quite well (still can't figure out how to post a pic here) thanks for the tip Stew,i'll give it a try spent part of the day laying fiberglass for a custom seat pan, first attemt, not much fun but made some good progress, hopefully it comes out alright. myseat guy laughed at me and called me an idiot:-) but if his instructions where better i wou'nt have these minor problems a little bit of grinding and it'll be fine Bob
