Does anyonw know if you can set up xs650 gauges to work on an SR??
If the spedo cable and tacho will lineup??

Yes, they will work. The stock bracket on an SR mounts the gauges closer together than on the XS, that's the only real difference. I suppose the cables might press on the headlight ears a little because of the wider spacing.
If I were doing it I'd get an SR bracket and stick the XS gauges on that, just because they look better closer together.
The XS tach has a 500rpm higher redline on the face, that's the only difference I'm aware of. 1980+ speedometers have the 55mph redline thing on the face and only go up to 85, just like on the SR. Drive ratios are the same for all years.
