Hi I need a new ignition switch but all the pattern ones on the internet/Ebay have either 4 or 6 wires in 1 connector block and none of the colors match up On my SR the switch has 2 connectors one with 2 wires ,brown & red & the other connector has 4 wires red/yellow ,blue,black/white,& black
All the pictures on the Yamaha parts diagrams show a 2 connector 6 wire set up on all years of SR's The question is ,where do I buy a replacement switch at an affordable price without going to my local Yamaha awesome dealer ? .
Has anyone bought one recently who could post me a link ? Thanks Guy's LURCH

Cool. If it doesn't work out... I have two used switches I'll be selling, both with keys (one key each). Both work, but are not all shiny and new like the auction one... Good luck! (PS: what's a mini-Mexican wave?)

I think its a mexican wave without a stadium full of people. Or one person lifting both hands in the air repeatedly by themselves.
Either way, they're banned at the cricket in Australia now! They ban waves an horns and beach balls, so people drink more, so they're drunker, but evrything fun to occupy us happy lads has been banned o the crowd get restless. So THEN they banned full strength beer!!!
Thats just not cricket.
CMON AUSSIE.....World Cup 2007 on now.
sorry.....back to bikes now.

Thanks Hopwheels I won the ignition switch ;D ;D ;D & at half what I was willing to pay , I think our Brit bikes must use a different switch all ours have just four wires as far as I can make out ,still, another item ticked off the rebuild list Cheers LURCH
