I was just at the stage when I was trying to work out what to do with the 25 year old wiring harness, I'm sure most of you have been there brittle wires, hacked around, colours no longer matching etc. When during my standard SR search on ebay I found a new old stock main harness, any to cut a long story short I picked it up for $160 au which I think is a bargain considering how rare this item must be. The hardest part was I had to get up at 5 am to make sure I got it (small price to pay). Cheers Rich ;D

I think RD's point is nothing other than he required a new wiring harness and went to the lengths required to procure it. Congrats RD. I am sure you are correct in assuming this parts rarity. Sometimes you have to pay whatever to get what you require.
Contribute something positive people... or don't bother.

Hi guys I finally had time to put the new wiring harness on the bike I also wired in a new fuse holder at the same time. The result? I have gone from having a weak intermittent spark and no starting to the biggest fattest spark I have ever seen. I haven't had a chance to try and start it yet but maybe this weekend, I will report back on how it goes. Cheers Rich
