I know, I know this shouldn't happen but it did: There is a plastic bushing/spacer on the throttle shaft that either is external (and hides benaeth the return spring) or is internal (and rides in one side of the slide linkage). Help! I don't remember where it goes! I have two little kids and I confess I am a little distracted at times! Any help is greatly appreciated.

I just looked a my spare carb and my 2 manuals. I think it goes under the spring .I just see thin spacers on either side of the slide lever. The book shows a thicker spacer facing a tophat style bushing under the spring. Try looking at the exploded drawing at this site. www.yamahasportsplaza.com/pages/parts/viewbybrand/default.aspx
