:(Help guys I have broken the upper threaded rod on my accelerator pump and Yamaha can't supply has anybody got one to sell etc....Thanks TC

I don't know what that is.......but I have a spare carb body and some other bits that might include one if you can enlighten me.

hi tc,not dure how your d.i.y skills are but you could make one without to much difficulty,dont get to bogged down with this gadget they dont make that much difference to performance anyway,if it aint connected,no big sweat.i have fitted a non-pumper replacement mikuni carb that is equally as good as the[very complex] stock carb. regards, andy

Thanks guys Andy I havent got access to any very small metric dies to cut the thread on the rod .
Milkman it is a small diameter bent rod that is on the left hand side of the carby ansd moves up and down when the throttle is opened and closed ..TC

correct, its here marked accelerator pump linkage: Basically when you twist open the throttle quickly it squirts a wee bit of extra fuel through to cope with the demand

Stock carb is good,don't be frightened of it, or go Dellorto, [ or FCR if you can budget it] I have seen a pump rod made from coathanger wire, it worked!!!, regards Carl
