Just recently i have developed a serious flooding problem, pouring from the overflow. Judging from previous threads i guess it may be a float, needle issue. Before i tackle the carb i would like to get hold of a keyster kit. Does anyone know if they are available locally in oz.

Mate another small thing...have you tapped the float bowl to see if it stops? Sometimes a small amount of 'stuff' can be caught bewtween the face of the needle and seat...can be dislodged this way. SR

bjt33,stewross is dead right,i've had this happen on the odd occasion when ive not ran the bike for a fair while.the fuel in the float bowl evaporates dropping the float and valve away from its seating, when you put the fueltap on prime it doesnt always seat properly.a light tap say with the blunt end of a screwdriver against the side of the float bowl usually does the trick. regards, andy

I have to do this every spring on my XS650. Be sure and check the oil for any evidence of gas contamination - you might want to change oil right after you fix this.
