sometimes when i come to a stop light the idle will stay at 3000. other times its at 1500. i do not have the push cable and I'm wondering if that's the problem . but also could be throttle sticking. rebuild the carb?

Hey Pablo, did you ever find out what was causing your problem? I believe I have the same thing. My bike idles at 1100 when cold, and warm, but when it gets hot, only after 15 minutes or so of riding it idles at 3000. Not always though, sometimes when I stop at a light it will go ahead and idle back down. Kind of a mystery, but hopefully you are someone else has the answer. Thanks bro.

Sounds like a cable problem to me . Make sure the idle doesn't change when you steer from lock to lock(I spent a good hour trying to sort that out on a single cable setup )Cheers Dave.

Hi Catherine, You should have a small amount of throttle opening cable slack at all bar positions, stop to stop... SR
