I just installed a new supertrap EAR can w/ 9 discs. I was running an older supertrap when the guts fell out at speed on the highway. The bike runs but will only rev if I remove the EMGO air filter. I have a #300 main jet. Does anybody know where I can get a bigger EMGO style air filter?

I also had a Supertrapp that spit out it's guts on the road. My universal Supertrapp I run now has 12 discs and I use a free-flowing K&N air filter. It seemed starved for air until I removed the airbox cover and ran without it at all. I also use a #300 main-jet and raised the needle one notch. On some SR's you cannot adjust the needle. Any post 1979 model I think. Also, my carb is from a TT500 and is a simple gravity fed one.

Thanks for the reply Canucksr. Hows the summer going up north? I just got home to find my K&N air filter on the porch. I can't wait to sort this thing out. I noticed some pretty good diggers in the under -side of the Supertrap. All I can think is I'm kicking up some gravel or some thing and dinging the can. I only have put @ 50 mi. on the bike after installing it. It must be wicked soft at temperature. I have some stainless shim stock and a couple of stainless hose clamps. I plan on shrouding the can on that quadrant to save any more dammage. Do me a favor and check your can fore damage. Thanks, Steve
