hi guys

i'm looking at a bike fitted with a super sport muffler (looks likes a supertrapp). it is running no baffles at all and is far too loud for where it will live (can't believe i just said that)

if i refit some baffles to quieten it down will i need to rejet or retune the carb?

I've found that any time the exhaust or intake is modified the carb needs to be re-jetted to get the correct mixture. However, in your case the P/O who took out the baffle probably never changed them anyway. If you put it back close to stock then check the jets and if they are still the standard size you will likely be close to the correct settings.

Does it shoot flames? Might be a pretty cool night ride in someone else's neighborhood, eh?
