1980 XT500 Neutral light, signals, rear lights not working

I have a 1980 XT500.  The lights on the tach do not light up (signal, neutral).  The signals do not work and the rear light does not work.  Everything was working fine then just quit.  The head lights work fine once I start it up.  It has a new battery and the fuse connected to the battery cage is good.  
Any trouble shooting ideas.
