Hi The much respected Grand Master and long time veteran of SRs in Canberra Australia Stew Ross has introduced me to this site and has give me the encouragement to resto a US E model grey import that seems to have spent most of its life owned by a CA surfer girl or a seagull watcher - good inside it seems from a look under the tappet cover but suffering sun and salt on the cosmetics side. My priority right now is to clean it up to a presentable level before taking it on a ride. After that I hope to progressively improve its appearance to approaching show room state - but small steps at a time. I intend to ride it with other SRs here ( watching Stew's back numberplate disappearing out in front of the pack ) and with other "Veteran Vintage and Classic" bikes in Canberra. Being 30 this year its now entitled to cheap registration of only $70 per year and I think tax free in respect of its purchase. When I can work out how to do so I will post a before photo or two. www4.snapfish.com.au/thumbnailshare/AlbumID=146638842/a=136164005_136164005/t_=13616400[/img]
