Here is the idea of how an FS1 (Yam 50cc) tank fits an SR500... Looks to be similar to the tank on the purple one that you asked about earlier on...a little different, but not far off. SR

Finally i used one from a Yamaha GT80 need a couple small mods Should look kinda like this in a month or so.. with a few changes

Lookin good. Funnily enough I was fitting up a GT80 tank last night as well. Bloody tight fit! I also tried a TY175 and YB100 tank. The YB fits perfectly once I removed it's original mountign lugs near the front. I like the FS1 tank too. And to answer your previous question, old Bill Byles in Adelaide is still alive and kicking but very much retired now. I work for his son Evan. Bill's a great guy, I went to GP with him last year and he still makes it out to every 24 Hour Trial.

Just roughly mocked up YB100 tank to TT500 frame, perfect fit. Have stripped it and now have to removed some dents then decide on paint job.
