My names Kim & I live in carlsbad I've been wanting an SR for a while now and it's been kind of a tough search. I finally found this one in Vegas and picked it up from a good guy a couple of days ago. it's an 81 with 8400mi in great shape with a few mods. with the help of this forum I look forward to getting it dialed in and beating around the neighborhood this summer.

Thanks Peter, Kind of funny the first thing that's going is the red wheels, Gloss Black powder coat tomorrow. ordered some firestone 4" tires today. I may sell the seat here in a bit as I want to do this bike fussy kid style.

Welcome to the forum! Very nice looking SR.
Is that a Nirto Heads seat? I may be willing to buy the seat if you decide to part with it.

Well I'm about 98% done, I need to redo the seat as I had it thrown together so I could ride it this past weekend. I need too shape the foam to the contour of the seat pan, shorten clutch and throttle cable. maybe down the road do some motorwork? I just wanted to say thanks for the help from this board it was helpful for sure. She pops wheelies & the ducati brakes make stoppies pretty easy too.

Hey Kim,
Can you tell me what brand and model of tire you have on the bike? I want to change mine to street tire and can't find anything I like.
Cheers,
Peter
