True, we had a chance to vote her out......but I don't mind her back there in England, not like she gives us any trouble.
It wouldn't be as satisfying when we beat England at every sport. And we couldn't laugh as much as when England actually win something, everyone gets a knighthood or an OBE, which garuntees they'll never win again........
Though they beat us in the last Rugby world cup, so for a month, they are still World Champions, so respect given where respect is due

no, I think we're in the same frame of mind as the Scots, Irish, Welsh (though I've never bumped into as many of them, I assume its the same).

Ned Kelly was Irish, and gave the authorities, who were english, a poke in the eye. What can I say? And they produced Thin Lizzy. Who produced Whisky in the Jar, and The boys are Back in Town, and The Black Rose, to mention but a little of the finest Irish rock. And we like Scots. Mad buggers that they are. Billy Connolly is the funniest man in the world, I reckon. And a few years ago I discovered he's a pretty fine singer too. Mick

I work with a Scot, great guy, it is just a pity we can hardly understand what he says!
As for the Irish, having traced my family tree back to its origins in Aus, I found a Irish convict 10 generations back on my mothers side. He was transported to Aus for 7 years for a "felony", probably stole a potato, anyway once you were here you were here for good, as the average ex convict could not afford the cost of the passage back home at the end of their sentance. The church, in all of their generosity, packed up his wife and mother and sent them out here as it was cheaper than having to look after them, remember there was no welfare state back then.
There are also a few Scots in the ancestory, but unfortunatly, the majority of my ancestors are POMs.
